Salmon and Broccoli Pasta
Salmon and Broccoli Pasta is adaptable for the whole family. It is a garlicky cream sauce with air-fried salmon bites, broccoli florets and additional dill and capers for the grown-ups. It is the tastiest way to boost your Omega-3!

Salmon and Broccoli Pasta is a super easy, fast recipe filled with flavour every family should know! If you try to make the kids eat more fish, present it with pasta! It works every time! Especially with a garlicky, creamy sauce, I guarantee the kids will eat their omega-3 without a fuzz! Plus, mom and dad can upgrade it to the next level with added dill and capers to satisfy their more experienced palate.
Air Fried Salmon

This Salmon and Broccoli Pasta recipe uses fresh fish filet cut into thick cubes and air-fried with garlic and olive oil. It’s simple and so delicious that you can cook the fish rapidly this way without a ton of oil or destroying it in the pan. The kids love soft cubes of tender salmon, slightly crunchy on the exterior; it is much more appetizing! If you do not own an air fryer, you can always fry it in a non-stick pan and add some olive oil, or if you are on a budget, canned salmon could do the trick.

Cream Sauce

I’m a mom, so I try to use as few pots or pans as possible; in professional cuisine, they would make the sauce in a skillet and add the pasta for a minute in there in the end, but why not use the same pot as we’ve cooked our pasta in? It’s already out and warm! So, saute the garlic and broccoli first and finish it with the cream, but be careful not to bring it to a boil! Cream should never be boiled, or it will separate, so get it to a fume if you want a smooth sauce. It is so simple, and there is no need to add starch or extra steps.
Capers and Dill for the Grown-Ups

Those two ingredients will take the dish to another level for the grown-up wanting a bit more of a culinary adventure! This combo of ingredients reminds me of Scandinavia, where they often serve salmon with it. Adding a bit of the caper brine in the cream sauce instead of salt is also a fun way to bring a “je ne sais quoi” to the dish.

Notes
- The extra capers and fresh dill are added for the more mature palates so the kids can enjoy a simpler variation.
- Do not boil the cream; just bring it to a fume to prevent curds.
- Do not overcook the pasta at the first boil; take it out a minute before it becomes soft. This will help it soak up all the cream better.
- No Air fryer? No problem! Use a non-stick pan or, even easier, canned salmon.
