Cool down with a super-easy frozen treat that’s nourishing and delicious! Our Fruity Coconut Water Popsicles with Chia Seeds are a game-changer, blending the natural sweetness of fruit with the refreshing hydration of coconut water and completely sugar-free! Each colourful pop is packed with tiny powerhouses of chia seeds, which add a gel-like texture that melts smoothly and deliver a hidden boost of fibre and Omega-3s.

Coconut Water: A Natural Hydrating Potion
Coconut water is nature’s sports drink, perfect for keeping active kids hydrated. It is packed with natural electrolytes like potassium and magnesium, making it an excellent choice for rehydration, especially during hot weather, after physical activity, or when a child is recovering from a mild illness that causes fluid loss (like vomiting or diarrhea). Its crystal-clear appearance makes the colourful fruit pieces pop beautifully, creating an irresistible visual treat that kids can’t resist.
The Secret Power of Chia Seeds

The chia seeds aren’t just for show; they create a lovely gel-like texture that helps the popsicles hold together better while adding a satisfying bite. These tiny superfoods pack a powerful nutritional punch with plant-based protein, fibre, and omega-3 fatty acids that fuel active kids’ adventures. However, if you prefer a smoother texture or don’t have chia seeds, feel free to skip them; the popsicles will still be delicious!
Rainbow of Fruit Possibilities

The beauty of these popsicles lies in their versatility, meaning you can use whatever fruits you have or let the kids choose their favourites! Mix vibrant strawberries with sunny mango chunks, add deep purple blueberries with bright kiwi slices, or create tropical combinations with pineapple and passion fruit. Have fun creating colourful layers or mixing everything for a confetti effect. The more colours you use, the more exciting these popsicles become for little ones who eat with their eyes first!

Strawberry, Blueberry, and Kiwi make for a vibrant and delicious “see-through” popsicle! Here are a few more fruity combinations that would be amazing in your coconut water chia seed popsicles:
- mango and strawberry
- watermelon, blueberry
- peach, raspberry and blackberry
- mandarin and pitted cherries

Perfect for hot days. The coconut water kept it light and not too sweet, which was nice.
The fruits provide enough sugar, in my opinion, but for those who like their food sweeter, a little drop of maple syrup would do magic.
